These clips show a few examples of the extensive experimentation performed to develop the most accurate behavioural algorithms.
The model underpinning PeakHour Crowd has been in development for more than 10 years. This model, based on solid scientific research, utilises over 1000 specifically designed experiments, as well as comprehensive decision surveys and other data collections.
The experiments involved over 500 people at once, and involved different rewards to simulate emergency environments. This gave excellent understanding of human evacuation behaviour in both normal and emergency situations.
Scientific research as extensive as this has given our model the ability to realistically simulate human decisions through various parameterisations such as reaction time, pathfinding, decision updates and exit choice models.
